Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and organised Kitchen Hand to join our team within the Qantas Lounges at the Sydney International Airport. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Kitchen department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas to ensure compliance with current Health & Hygiene regulations.
* Wash and sanitise dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines or hand-washing when necessary.
* Properly dispose of waste, garbage, and recycling materials.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment is essential.
* A preferred background within the hospitality or hotel industry would be beneficial.
* An understanding of food safety requirements is necessary.
* The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is crucial.
* Flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
* Full working rights within Australia are required.
