Key Responsibilities
1. Own the full client journey - Manage the entire policy lifecycle for corporate accounts across the Northern Region (ACT, NSW, QLD), from underwriting to renewals and adjustments.
2. Lead integrated client solutions - Collaborate with Risk Solutions to provide comprehensive protection strategies addressing clients' challenges.
3. Build influential relationships - Work with Regional Managers, Client & Broker Engagement teams, and Risk Solution specialists to develop holistic approaches.
4. Drive strategic growth - Develop and implement business development plans to identify and convert new opportunities while maximizing renewals.
5. Shape underwriting quality - Work with Product & Underwriting teams to ensure excellence in underwriting referrals and approvals.
6. Make impactful decisions - Negotiate directly with brokers to create tailored solutions for complex risks.
7. Create lasting impact - Support organisations contributing to community wellbeing through our sectors.
About You
You are a relationship builder with strong underwriting foundations. Your experience enables you to engage confidently with senior brokers and executives, presenting complex solutions clearly. You understand both short-tail and long-tail business lines and tailor your approach to each client’s needs.
To succeed, you should:
* Have established relationships in the broker market, especially in core sectors
* Excel at stakeholder management across various organisational levels
* Be skilled at identifying prospects and converting them through technical expertise and relationship skills
* Be adept at coordinating risk surveys and implementing risk requirements
* Balance client needs with underwriting principles
* Share our passion for the care, education, and faith sectors
* Have a proven track record of profitable growth in underwriting or corporate broking
