So,what'sthe role? This is a full‐time,12‐month fixed‐term contract, with a strong likelihood of extension subject to business needs.The Senior Settlement Consultant is a 12‐month fixed term contract role that supports the effective delivery of settlement outcomes across Bank First's mortgage and loan funding pipeline.You'll manage loan conditions and complex settlements end to end, reviewing mortgage instructions, coordinating settlement dates with solicitors and processing funding requests.Acting as deputy to the Manager Settlements, you'll provide day‐to‐day operational support, assist with workflow prioritisation, offer technical guidance, and support escalations across the Member Loan Fulfilment function. You'll also mentor team members, complete quality checks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce risk and improve the member experience.In a typical day you will get involved in:Take end‐to‐end ownership of complex mortgage and unsecured lending settlements, ensuring seamless delivery for members.Partner closely with panel solicitors to coordinate timely, accurate settlements, including funding and pre‐settlement conditions.Prepare, reviewand process loan and discharge documentation (including PEXA)Act as a subject matter expert across settlement processes, systems and documentation, supporting best‐practice outcomes.Step in as Deputy to the Manager, Settlements, providing leadership, guidance and decision‐making support when required.Support workflow prioritisation and act as an escalation point to ensure service levels, timeframes, and quality standards are achieved.Coach, mentor and support settlement consultants, fostering capability uplift and sharing technical knowledge.Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure accurate, consistentand compliant settlement outcomes.Take ownership of personal and team performance, contributing to productivity, quality targetsand an improved member experience.Build strong, collaborative relationships with solicitors, brokers, credit teams and internal stakeholders as a trusted settlements expert.About you You're a proactive self‐starter and collaborative team player with a strong eye for detail. You have excellent time management and organisational skills, enabling you to manage competing priorities effectively.You're also eager to learn new functions and support the broader Enrichment team.Ideally, you'll have:Strong understanding of lending regulations, compliance requirements and industry best‐practiceSolid knowledge of core lending processes, banking systems, and strategic industry partnersDemonstrated loan funding and settlement experience, including discharge settlements via PEXAProven banking experience in similar settlement or loan fulfilment functionsHigh attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracyEffective communicator with well‐developed stakeholder engagement skillsProactive, accountable and improvement‐focused mindsetAbility to balance BAU delivery with leadership, support, and continuous improvement responsibilitiesFor-purpose, a bank committed to helping its Members and their community.Impactful work that will genuinely make a difference to the lives of our Members!Work with values‐driven leaders, who actively develop talent and support you to grow your career.
