Supply Chain Manager Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our end-to-end supply chain operations. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping and optimizing our inventory control, purchasing operations, and logistics activities to achieve production and commercial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Planning & Management: Develop and maintain accurate inventory forecasts; balance customer demand with inventory levels; analyse consumption patterns, seasonal trends, and market dynamics; manage repairable and unserviceable inventory, including buy-back processes; monitor inventory usage to identify obsolescence risks; maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts and proactive replenishment; collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues, improve service levels.
2. Logistics Management: Oversee transportation services, freight costs, customs compliance, and export controls; ensure timely delivery and optimize shipping efficiency; support warehousing operations; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and warehouse processes.
3. Purchasing & Procurement: Maintain supplier records and onboard vendors; manage RFQs and source suppliers; maintain purchase orders and monitor subcontracted repair activities; evaluate vendor performance against quality, delivery, and cost standards.
4. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage the supply chain team; manage staff qualifications, training, leave, and performance; provide backup support as required.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience (5+ years in supply chain)
* Airport industry experience, ideally with technical knowledge of gas turbine engines
* At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
* Strong track record in airport supply chain or logistics roles
* Solid knowledge of Incoterms, export controls, customs, and airport regulations
