Our expert care team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and other professionals will ensure that your experience is the best it can be.About The RoleThe successful candidate will work in collaboration with the executive team and demonstrate leadership skills to ensure:Optimal employee, patient and VMO experience and satisfactionDrive excellence in clinical outcomesManage Budgets and attainment of budgetary targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Demonstrated sound financial management & administrative skills in a hospital settingDemonstrated understanding of private health sector funding modelsProvide a positive and consultative approach towards managing changeDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, and foster a cohesive, constructive & collaborative team working environmentKey RequirementsActively contribute to, and promote the development of the Hospital’s goals, objectives, policies, and standardsProvides clinical leadership to establish and maintains the highest standards of nursing practice in a patient-focused environmentDevelop, implement, and evaluate quality programs and provides leadership and professional expertise to ensure nursing care is monitored against best practice standardsIn consultation with departmental Managers ensures all policies and procedures are implemented reviewed, and evaluated throughout the nursing directoratePromote continuing professional development of nursing staff and others within the directorateMonitor compliance with clinical practice standards and initiates corrective action as requiredSupport Managers in ensuring the delivery of cost-effective nursing and clinical careContinuously monitor and report on productivity and activity within the nursing directorateQualifications, Skills And ExperienceCurrent Registration with AHPRAPost Graduate Qualifications in Nursing, Business and/or Management (or working towards)Minimum of 5 years senior nursing experienceExtensive contemporary management leadership experience in a Senior Nursing position in an Acute Hospital FacilityHigh level conceptual and analytical skills, and advanced oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to foster a positive service orientated culture that encourages sound patient care and stewardship, focusing on innovation and productivity improvementsDemonstrated understanding and application of best practice Human Resource principles and systems including performance managementExperience in setting, monitoring, and meeting budgeted financial and annual operational targets and benchmarksOperational and strategic planning experienceAbility to build strong working relationships with nursing teams, medical practitioners, and other key stakeholdersFinancial and human resource management skillsStrong motivation and ability to manage changeAble to influence nursing and hospital practice to achieve excellent clinical outcomesParticipate in WH&S and quality activitiesExperience in the leadership and management of a multidisciplinary teamExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsWhy Healthscope?We care about your career at Healthscope.No matter where you go within our community of care, you’ll be supported by great team leaders, be part of strong, innovative teams who always strive for better and have the opportunity to flourish and grow.Our people are at the heart of our organisation - no matter the role, every day our people make a difference to the lives of our patients and their families.
