About us
Psychology impacts upon a range of psychological, emotional, and behavioural difficulties to improve health and well-being across the lifespan. Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service offers a comprehensive psychology service to support patients through their acute hospital admission, recovery following discharge, and/or when accessing specialist outpatient services. Our Psychologists work with a range of populations including paediatrics, adults and older adults in hospital and community facilities across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.
About the role
The Psychologist role provides comprehensive psychological assessment and intervention for patients who develop emotional, behavioural, and/or cognitive issues secondary to their medical condition, illness, or injury, or where emotional, behavioural, and/or cognitive issues are impacting on their healthcare engagement and recovery. Care may be delivered across a range of inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
About you
* Applicants must possess an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited four‑year qualification in Psychology and general or provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA).
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration or membership with the appropriate association within Australia.
* Post‑graduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or Health Psychology at the Masters/Doctorate level or PsyBA area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or Health Psychology would be highly regarded, as would PsyBA approved supervisor status.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $53,026 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
