Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity located in Geelong, VIC, for the role of People and Culture Director. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of strategic people initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values. Responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, fostering employee engagement, managing organizational development programs, implementing HR policies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The role also involves driving an inclusive culture that fosters creativity, innovation, and collaboration, supporting the continued growth of the Geelong Arts Centre as a leading cultural institution.
Qualifications
* Strong skills in Human Resources Management, including recruitment, employee relations, and advising on HR policies and best practices.
* Proven experience in People Strategy, Organizational Development, and leading Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.
* Expertise in Change Management, Performance Development, and Cultural Transformation.
* Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict resolution skills with an emphasis on fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Demonstrated understanding of compliance with employment laws, regulations, and HR-related legal requirements.
* Exceptional communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field is required; a postgraduate qualification is highly regarded.
* Experience in the arts, cultural, or not-for-profit sectors is a significant advantage.
