Overview
Asphalt Production Plant Operator | Narangba role at Suncoast Asphalt. Based out of our asphalt plant in Narangba, one of Brisbane's northern suburbs. As an Asphalt Production Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the effective and safe operation of our asphalt production plant. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and timely delivery of asphalt products for our construction projects and customers.
In Your New Role With Us
With us, you will:
- Operate and control asphalt plant machinery and equipment
- Monitor and adjust production processes to meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with the production team to coordinate daily operations and optimise productivity
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and resolve operational issues
- Maintain accurate records of production and equipment maintenance activities
- Adhere to company policies, including safety protocols
This role is a great fit for you if you
- Have previous experience as an Asphalt Plant Operator or a similar role (advantageous)
- Understand asphalt production processes and equipment
- Are familiar with plant control systems and computerized equipment
- Have strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Know safety regulations and procedures in an industrial setting
- Can work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
- Show attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality results
- Are flexible to work extended hours, including weekends and nights if required
- Hold a valid driver’s licence and have reliable transportation
- Have tickets/experience on plant machinery such as front-end loaders/forklifts
- Are able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening
What We Offer
- Between $30 - $37 p/hour, pending experience, plus penalty rates and allowances and plus super
- Working hours generally Monday - Friday 6am - 6pm with optional Saturday work (may change with work volumes)
