Responsibilities
Providing amazing nursing care to critically ill and injured patients from triage throughout their stay with us
Working directly with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective treatment and patient care
Monitor patients closely, administer medications, assist with medical and surgical procedures as needed
IV catheter placement, blood collection, assisting with diagnostic imaging. This could progress to advanced line placements and advanced critical monitoring in our dedicated CCU for the right candidate
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
Client communication, providing advice, answering questions and supporting clients during stressful times
Our ideal candidate will have:
Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with minimum 2 years' nursing experience
A passion to advance their skills with regular CE and ongoing in-house mentorship
Previous experience working within an emergency and specialty hospital would be highly regarded but not essential
Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask/prioritise
Ability to provide high quality patient care even in busy conditions
A friendly, team player attitude - team culture is very important to us!
Strong communication skills
Flexibility to work across days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and some public holidays
