Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Early Years Support Coordinator to join our team.
Program Purpose
The purpose of this role is to enhance parental understanding of the protective factors that enable children's learning and development to flourish.
Key Responsibilities
* To identify barriers to young children achieving outcomes and enable referral to appropriate support services.
* Maintain records of family contact on a daily basis.
* Support families to achieve early development, health and learning outcomes.
* Develop and monitor post program support as required to meet program performance criteria.
* Develop and foster relationships between schools, community and families.
* Conduct home visits with children and their families to advise and provide strategies for a more positive early childhood experience.
* Contribute as part of the professional team working with schools and communities and liaise with children, teachers, parents, early childhood services and other government departments.
* Inform and educate parents, community members and students on relevant issues that may impact family engagement in local early years services.
* Develop and implement programs to support early learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A degree in a related field such as education or social work is highly desirable.
