Key Competencies:
• Monitor and uphold TCC Coffee quality, ensuring all coffee you serve meets TCC's stringent standards
• Maintenance and OHS: Uphold the highest standards of workplace health, safety, and cleanliness
• Be an active part of our sustainability efforts, ensuring your actions adhere to our standards as an environmentally responsible organisation.
Duties include:
• Making of all beverages (including supplying, dispensing, or mixing of liquor, coffee, tea, frappes and other beverages) as per The Coffee Club Manuals
• Detailed product knowledge of all menu items as per The Coffee Club Manuals
• Taking customer orders and receipt of monies
• Detailed knowledge of the POS system
• Adding value and generating sales through upselling and second selling
• Meet company Food & Beverage hygiene under general supervision – Grade 2
• Undertaking general waiting duties of both food and/or beverage, including delivering meals
• Replenishing & rotating of stock under general supervision, polishing and wrapping cutlery
• Ensuring all customer areas are always kept clean and orderly
• General store cleaning (using cleaning schedules)
• Ensuring that coffee preparation area is always kept clean and orderly
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment (i.e. coffee machine, grinder)
• Some incidental duties of a lower-level F&B classification (i.e. including washing dishes and tidying dish area, removing plates, cleaning tables), however, this would not be a significant proportion of the duties.
Qualifications and Competencies
* Successful completion
The Coffee Club Barista Course, up to Intermediate Barista level (non-accredited)
* Food Handler certificate or equivalent
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate maintained by employee (if required)
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and serve consistent quality coffee
Knowledge and Skills
• Understands and can follow business process and procedures
• Can follow directions, but also is able to manage their own workstation to best serve our customers
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff, management and customers
• Ability to maintain store presentation, hygiene and product quality through following daily and weekly procedures and schedules (i.e. cleaning schedules).
