Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel
QLS has a full-time, 6-month contract opportunity for aSenior Legal Counsel to join their Office of General Counsel. The main purpose of the Office of General Counsel is to provide independent legal advice to senior executives and management teams.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice on a range of matters, including contract review, negotiation, and drafting. You will also be expected to manage the organization's exposure to risk by identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Additionally, you will write statements of reasons for administrative decisions and update policies, procedures, and guidelines as required.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in law or equivalent qualifications, strong critical and strategic legal analysis and research skills, and at least 7+ years of post-admission experience.
Experience in private practice corporate/commercial litigation is desirable, as is prior in-house experience and administrative experience. Knowledge of government structures and processes will also be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
