Responsibilities
- Routine and breakdown maintenance, as well as inspection and monitoring of assets
- Maintain close liaison and cooperation with operations teams
- Manage day‐to‐day performance and work activities of the maintenance team
- Build strong customer focus between maintenance and operating departments
About You – Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Fitter and Turner)
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Desire to work flexibly to ensure safety, environmental and production targets are met
- High‐level communication skills, with a proven ability to work with minimal supervision
- Sound knowledge of the metal processing industry (or similar)
- SAP experience is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge or understanding of continuous improvement is desirable but not essential

Who We Are
Nyrstar Hobart is a large‐scale zinc smelter located on Hobart's River Derwent, close to the Tasmanian capital's vibrant city centre. The site uses the RLE process for zinc production, producing SHG zinc, die‐cast alloys and CGG alloys, among other by‐products.
