Heavy Machinery Mechanic Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Machinery Mechanic to join our maintenance team at our Swan Hill facility.

This role is critical in maintaining the operation of vehicles, forklifts, trucks, and other plant equipment used in our meat processing operations.

1. Key Responsibilities:
2. Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of heavy vehicles and machinery
3. Carrying out scheduled maintenance on trucks, forklifts, trailers, and production equipment
4. Performing inspections and safety checks in line with company and regulatory standards
5. Maintaining detailed maintenance records and completing job cards accurately
6. Working closely with the production and logistics teams to minimise downtime

About the Role:

This is a secure, stable full-time employment opportunity that comes with a competitive salary package between $70,000 – $80,000 per year + overtime penalties. Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or equivalent
2. Proven experience with heavy vehicles, forklifts, and machinery maintenance
3. An HR licence or willingness to obtain (highly regarded)
4. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
5. The ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
