CQUniversity is seeking a strategic and experienced Project Manager to lead a major campus development in the Cairns region. The successful candidate will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and completion, working in a client-side capacity.

* Coordinate consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.

About the Job Requirements
* Demonstrated experience leading major infrastructure projects (>$50M) through all phases—from design and tendering to construction, commissioning, and completion.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders including funding bodies, councils, consultants, and contractors to achieve project outcomes.
* Sound knowledge of project management frameworks, with strong capabilities in scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and reporting.
* Strong understanding of legislative requirements, including the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards, and local authority regulations.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, submissions, and tenders, and to negotiate effectively in complex stakeholder environments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in major capital works, particularly in education or public infrastructure, and be passionate about contributing to a transformative project.
