Job Description
We are seeking a Site Manager for our Moree site in NSW. This position has full accountability for the management, planning, organising and safe operation of the cotton gin.All maintenance and ginning staff, both permanent and casual working in the area of responsibility will report to the Gin Site Manager. This role is all about safety, people, and performance - leading a team, driving operational excellence, and making sure everything runs smoothly from modules to bales.
Key responsibilities will be but not limited to:
Lead and mentor your crew with a strong focus on safety.
Monitor and maintain machinery and equipment to ensure continuity ofproduction and quality
Manage seasonal daily gin throughput
KRA reporting
Ensurework permits are completed for all high risk activity
Maintain the physical appearance of the gin site
Manage, develop and leademployees
Experience
Desired qualifications, skills and experience:
Demonstratedrelevant experience in Ginning
Ability to identify/control weaknesses in process and implement best practices
Mechanical, maintenance and/or electrical knowledge
Prior experience managingstaff in a maintenance/production environment
Sound computer skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently, takeinitiative and develop solutions for challenges when required
Strong work ethic
Demonstrated leadership capability
Ability and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers and third parties
Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy
