Safetech Pty Ltd is seeking a talented Electrical / Mechatronics / Controls Engineer to join our engineering team in Moe, Victoria.
This is a pivotal role within the business offering real ownership, variety, and the opportunity to work across a broad range of engineered products and projects. If you're a keen engineer who enjoys PLC programming, automation, electrical design, and seeing systems come to life, this role will keep you engaged and challenged.
You'll be joining an already brilliant and experienced engineering team, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, compliant, and innovative solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
* Design and develop electrical and control systems from concept to commissioning
* Program PLCs and develop automation strategies
* Produce compliant electrical designs in line with AS1418, AS4024 and AS3000
* Support integration across engineering, production and service
* Conduct on-site commissioning, troubleshooting and system optimisation
* Contribute to continuous improvement and technical excellence
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship where required
What You'll Bring
* Experience in automation, electrical design and PLC programming - Graduates are also welcome to apply.
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field
* NER registration (highly desirable)
* Understanding of AS4024 and AS3000 (highly desirable)
* Experience with CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical)
* Strong problem-solving ability and a practical, hands-on mindset
* Confidence to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team
