We are seeking an experienced Site Operations Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our client's Solar Farm. Reporting to the O&M Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the plant while maintaining optimal performance across all equipment and infrastructure.
This is a key leadership role responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, managing site resources, and ensuring operational and safety targets are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote a Zero Harm safety culture and ensure all work is carried out safely
* Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective control measures
* Minimise safety and environmental incidents across site operations
* Manage site access, including work permits and inductions for all personnel
* Maintain operational availability targets of 99% or greater
* Ensure all scheduled inspections, testing and preventative maintenance are completed on time
* Identify condition-based maintenance requirements and coordinate approvals and execution
* Work closely with technical teams to resolve plant performance issues efficiently
* Manage the site operations budget and report potential risks to delivery
* Ensure labour and material usage from service providers is accurately recorded
* Review and approve invoices in a timely manner to minimise work-in-progress
* Manage site spare parts inventory and ensure timely replenishment
* Monitor and coordinate site resource requirements to meet operational needs
* Manage the CMMS system to ensure maintenance tasks are scheduled, tracked and completed
* Create and maintain asset maintenance plans within the CMMS platform
Skills & Experience
* Licensed Electrician, preferably nominated on an electrical contractor licence
* HV switching qualifications and experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar operations or maintenance leadership role, ideally within solar or renewable energy
* Strong knowledge of solar plant operations, including inverters, transformers and electrical systems
* Experience working with SCADA and plant control systems
* Familiarity with CMMS maintenance management systems
