Sydney Health & Care Services (SHCS) is growing rapidly in Wollongong and we’re looking for reliable and compassionate casual Community Support Workers specialising in Home Care to join our expanding team. Your Role
As a Home Care Worker, you will support individuals in their homes and communities with:
* Personal Care – Including showering, bed baths, application of medicated creams, complex bowel care, catheter care, stoma care, and safe manual handling.
* Daily Living Assistance – Supporting with meal preparation, household tasks, and basic domestic duties.
* Social & Community Access – Assisting clients to attend appointments, shopping trips, or social outings.
* NDIS Goal Support – Helping clients work towards their personal and care-related goals to increase independence and wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For
* Availability – Able to work shifts between 6 am to 10 pm, with a minimum of 4 days availability per week. Shifts start from a minimum of 2 hours.
* Local Travel – Willing and able to travel to multiple locations within a 30-minute radius.
* Experience – Previous experience delivering personal care in a community or aged/disability care setting.
* Competency – Skilled in personal care tasks, including manual handling, catheter care, and complex bowel care.
* Communication – Clear, respectful, and professional communication skills.
* Reliability – Dependable, punctual, and committed to high-quality client care.
* Transport – Valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
Essential Requirements
* Current First Aid and CPR certification.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Working with Children Check.
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, as required by public health orders.
