Reporting to the Regional Operations Centre, the Export/Import Service Coordinator is responsible for:
1. Identifying local and overseas business opportunities for Australasia
2. Prepare quotes and pricing to potential customers.
3. Determining products and services to be provided and negotiating conditions of trade
4. Plan, organise and coordinate shipping operations
5. Arranging the Imports/Exports for our customers.
6. Preparing export & import documentation and invoices to assist cargo movement
7. Timely lodgment of manifests as per regulatory and process requirements
8. Handling customer service enquiries in a professional manner
9. Generating accurate documentation with minimal errors in compliance with Inchcape and statutory legislation.
10. Receiving and generating Bills of Lading based on information presented by the customer
11. Ensuring the timely and accurate handling of vessel balancing processes to enable appropriate document management and release
12. Checking customer payments are reconciled correctly
13. Generating and distributing DOs, tax invoices, import manifests and other appropriate documentation as per regulatory and liner requirements
14. Ensuring appropriate attention to detail and handling of all documentation, ensuring the correct release process is followed
15. Ensuring appropriate invoices are generated and provided to customers
16. Identifying regulatory and statutory requirements affecting the importing, exporting and distribution.
17. Promoting e-commerce within the market
Selection criteria:
18. Tertiary qualifications in a related field
19. At least years’ experience in the shipping or cargo industry
20. Demonstrated knowledge of shipping import/export documentations
21. Fluent in English – both written and spoken
22. Ability to work towards a deadline
23. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
24. High level of computer literacy
25. Knowledge of IMO Hazardous
