**Role Description**
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Head Sommelier. As the Assistant Head Sommelier, you will be responsible for overseeing the wine program, managing wine inventory, curating wine lists, training staff in wine pairing, sales techniques, assisting to manage a team of Sommeliers, maintaining our beverage program and ensuring exceptional guest experiences through expert wine service.
You will work closely with the Head Sommelier and culinary team to develop food and wine pairing recommendations and provide guidance on wine selections.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Certification or accreditation in sommelier or related field is highly desirable such as CMS advanced or WSET Diploma
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in wine pairing, wine sales, and sommelier practices
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food and beverage industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and informative wine presentations
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Deep knowledge of local and international wines
