About You
You are a resilient and experienced vessel master, with the ability to think clearly under pressure. You have a demonstrated understanding of vessel repair and maintenance practices, with the flexibility to move between tasks and trade disciplines. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional values in everything you do.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will assist in all aspects of vessel maintenance, including working in machinery spaces. You will perform marine operations, which may include, but not be limited to, berthing/unberthing/anchoring a vessel, cargo handling, general seamanship duties (including helmsmen, rope handling, hand steering of a vessel when underway) or lookout duties. Safety and compliance with all relevant legislation, policy and procedures will be your priority in this role.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
The highest levels of personal integrity and behaviour
Master < 24m near coastal
Marine Engine Driver Grade III near coastal
Proven experience in maritime service organisations providing maintenance on vessels of a similar size
Current First Aid Certificate
Current drivers' licence
Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure
