Kununurra is a beautiful remote town located in the East Kimberley. One Tree Kununurra Community Childcare and Education Centre is a brand-new childcare centre and will be working alongside with our Woothoo-woothoong Ninggoowoong Dawang Children's Service next door. What you'll do
* Provide support services for the trainees at both Kununurra services through the Pathways Projects
* Support in signing up more trainees working at the Kununurra services
* Provide holistic support to the Kununurra trainees
* Increase completion rates of trainees in Kununurra
* Assist to provide a culturally safe workplace
* Assist to meet the outcomes and deliverables as set out in the Pathways Project Plan
Selection criteria
* Ability to work autonomously and work within a budget
* Strong local knowledge and understanding
* Display high level of cultural intelligence
* Connect with others and support goal development and growth
* Well-developed written and oral communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Well-developed time management skills
* Commitment to continuous improvement and developing efficiencies in service delivery
* Approachable, sensitive, and a can-do attitude.
* Understanding of and commitment to One Tree's mission, values, and code of ethics
* Passion for working alongside community to support better outcomes for children and families
Requirements
* Eligible to work in Australia and live in Kununurra
* Experience working in a similar role
* Current WA Working with Children Check
* Current Driver's Licence
* Satisfactory National Police Clearance
