Milkwood Steiner School seeks an experienced educator to fill a kindergarten teaching position. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework to students aged five and six.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, document, assess, and report on teaching programs that align with the curriculum framework.
* Design educational adjustment plans tailored to individual students' needs, incorporating evidence-based interventions for inclusion, wellbeing, and learning.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, handle incident reporting, and ensure compliance with mandatory requirements.
* Supervise various student activities, including support programs, festivals, and other events.
* Participate in relevant meetings, such as planning sessions, at the discretion of the school's principal.
* Ensure student behaviour is appropriate in the classroom, around the school, and during excursions or camps.
* Manage the classroom budget effectively, creating an aesthetically pleasing and well-organised environment that reflects the values of Milkwood Steiner School.
Qualifications and Skills:
* A strong commitment to Steiner Education principles and a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
* Demonstrated expertise in planning, delivering, and assessing child-focused curricula, with excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and community members.
* A passion for working with children, an inclusive approach, and a commitment to valuing diversity, wellbeing, and child safety.
* Self-awareness and insight into personal support needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Early Childhood Teacher qualification.
* Interest in specialized areas of the school's professional and cultural life, such as child studies, festivals, adult education, eurythmy, community camps, or mentoring.
