The Opportunity Do you have a vision for innovative teaching and research in PDHPE? The School of Education is seeking an accomplished Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in PDHPE education to join our team. In this role you will make significant contributions to the development of future primary and secondary teachers by leading quality teaching, curriculum development, and research in PDHPE education. As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs, primarily focusing on the PDHPE curriculum. Your expertise will guide pre-service teachers, ensuring they receive a comprehensive and engaging education that meets both internal quality assurance and external accreditation standards. You will be responsible for preparing and delivering a variety of learning experiences, utilising face-to-face, online, and intensive modes of delivery. In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will supervise postgraduate research students, guiding them through their academic journey. You will have the opportunity to develop and lead research programs in areas relevant to the School, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice in education. Furthermore, you will mentor early-career researchers, and foster collaborations with industry partners to drive impactful education research. This is a full-time, ongoing position based at either Western’s Bankstown City or Penrith Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.Please review the position description for further information.
