The Role
Reporting into the Head of Finance and Operations, you'll partner with Fund/Asset Management and Investment Teams to lead the financial, tax, management reporting and fund operations for a portfolio of high performing wholesale Real Estate funds.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Fund-level financial control and reporting.
* Review and sign off unit price calculations in conjunction with Fund Manager.
* Ensure sufficient cash flow for each of the sub-trusts within the portfolio.
* Lead fund audit process and taxation annually.
* Ongoing review of automated processes and controls
* Prepare portfolio metrics and financial inputs for investor monthly and quarterly reporting.
* Ad hoc projects (e.g. ESG or ither risk initiatives)
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in the role, you'll have the following skills and experience.
* CA/CPA qualification.
* Real estate industry exposure and experience with real estate funds/trust accounting.
* Strong working knowledge of IFRS, AIFRS and complex legal entity structures
* Exposure to treasury, transfer agency, tax and compliance issues and practise.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
