The City of Karratha is seeking an experienced, visionary Manager Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to drive our digital transformation, enhance cybersecurity resilience, and lead innovative technology solutions that deliver exceptional outcomes for our community.
About the Role
As the City's senior ICT leader, you will:
* Lead strategic ICT direction—plan and deliver future-focused technology solutions aligned to our Council Plan.
* Champion innovation—drive the adoption of cloud services, smart city technologies, AI, automation, and analytics.
* Manage day-to-day ICT operations—oversee networks, systems, cyber security, service desk, enterprise systems, and vendor relationships.
* Provide expert advice—guide the Executive and stakeholders on emerging technologies, digital risk, and governance.
* Deliver excellence—ensure secure, reliable, and compliant ICT services that enhance business outcomes and community value.
You are an ICT leader with:
* Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline—or extensive equivalent experience.
* Proven success leading digital transformation and managing complex ICT environments.
* Strong technical expertise across infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, cloud services, and emerging digital technologies.
* Highly developed leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
* Understanding of legislative and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, Essential Eight, and government ICT policies.
* Experience in local government or the public sector (desirable).
