Are you passionate about transforming raw data into powerful marketing strategies and exceptional customer experiences? We are seeking a dynamic and insight-driven Marketing & CRM Data Analyst to join our intelligence team in Melbourne.

This isn't just about crunching numbers; it's about deeply understanding customer behaviour, optimising marketing campaign performance, and refining segmentation strategies to drive measurable business growth for our diverse client portfolio.

Working closely with our Analytics Manager and Strategy Director, you will be instrumental in unearthing actionable insights from our CRM and marketing campaign data. Your analysis will directly influence high-profile marketing campaigns, enhance customer journeys, and shape strategic decisions. Responsibilities

Day to day, you'll be instrumental in:

* Marketing Campaign Analysis: Performing in-depth analysis of marketing campaign performance (e.g., ROI, engagement rates, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost) across various channels to identify trends, optimize spend, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
* CRM & Customer Insights: Diving deep into CRM data to understand customer behaviour, lifecycle stages, value segmentation, churn indicators, and overall customer journey mapping.
* Segmentation & Personalisation: Developing, refining, and validating customer segmentation strategies to enable highly targeted, relevant, and personalized marketing communications.
* Data Sourcing & Preparation: Assisting in collecting, organising, cleaning, and structuring data from diverse sources including CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, web analytics, advertising platforms, and internal databases.
* Data Querying & Manipulation: Designing and executing complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from databases for analysis and reporting.
* Reporting & Visualisation: Creating and maintaining compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports (using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar) specifically tailored to monitor marketing and CRM performance, communicating key insights to marketing stakeholders.
* Strategic Collaboration: Collaborating closely with marketing, strategy, and client teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs), interpret data findings, and translate complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
* Experimentation Support: Supporting A/B testing and other marketing experimentation initiatives by analysing results and providing data-driven recommendations.
* Data Integrity: Ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of marketing and customer data across all platforms and tools.

Qualifications

The person we are looking for has:

* Proven Experience: 2+ years of direct experience in a data analysis role with a strong emphasis on marketing, CRM, or customer insights.
* Marketing Analytics Expertise: Demonstrable experience analyzing marketing campaign performance (e.g., email, paid ads, social, web) and customer lifecycle data.
* SQL Mastery: Advanced proficiency in SQL (e.g., MySQL, T-SQL) for complex data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
* Excel Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) for data analysis and modelling.
* Data Visualisation Pro: Expertise in at least one leading data visualisation tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) with a portfolio of dashboards relevant to marketing or CRM.
* Statistical Foundation: Solid understanding of statistical analysis methods applicable to marketing (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis, segmentation techniques).
* Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to translate complex data findings and statistical concepts into clear, concise, and actionable insights for both technical and non-technical marketing stakeholders.
* Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Marketing Acumen: Solid understanding of digital marketing channels, key metrics, and campaign structures.

Highly Desirable (Bonus Points)

* CRM/Marketing Automation Experience: Direct hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce Sales Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365) and/or Marketing Automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo).
* Advanced Analytics: Experience with Python or R for advanced data analysis, statistical modelling, or predictive analytics.
* Data Warehousing: Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
* A/B Testing: Experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests to optimize marketing performance.
