The Role
We are seeking a high‐performing Senior Accountant who is ready to take the next step into a Supervisor / Assistant Manager. This client‐facing position offers the opportunity to work closely with business owners, providing practical financial guidance and tailored solutions to support their growth and success.
You will work directly alongside the Senior Manager, gaining exposure to larger group structures while managing your own established client portfolio. This role also provides leadership exposure, including mentoring junior accountants and contributing to team development.
Key Responsibilities
* Review larger group structures alongside the Senior Manager, providing hands‐on support.
* Conduct face‐to‐face client meetings to understand business operations, accounting and tax obligations, corporate compliance requirements, and management reporting needs.
* Build and maintain strong, long‐term client relationships, strengthening Fortuna's national reputation.
* Provide advice across accounting, taxation, banking, management reporting, and broader commercial matters.
* Develop, implement, and document internal accounting and tax procedures in line with professional standards.
* Support and mentor junior team members to maintain high service standards.
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business.
* CA or CPA qualified.
* Minimum 5 years' experience within the Australian accounting industry.
* Strong proficiency in Xero, HandiSoft, and MYOB.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships confidently.
* Proven ability to collaborate across teams and provide mentorship to junior staff.
