About the Role
We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our optical fibre cable manufacturing facility located in Tottenham, Victoria.
As a Process Engineer, you will be working in our cable manufacturing plant where you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of production through process management of design, production requirements, quality and Workplace Health and Safety.
Your responsibilities will include
Refinement of processes, particularly those related to extrusion operations,
Supporting ongoing analysis and trials to refine and improve manufacturing processes,
Development of robust processes in collaboration with Operators and the Engineering Team,
Supporting the team of Operators in new or advanced cabling processes,
Development, management and maintenance of process cards,
Resolving process engineering issues,
Supporting the commissioning and trials of new capital equipment,
Conducting risk analysis on production lines and processes,
Providing assistance on conducting factory experiments,
Management of quality and NCP process control,
Working with the Production Manager to create standard work procedures.
To be successful in the role you will
Have completed a relevant engineering degree
Have previous experience within extrusion processes, continuous operational runs, and /or the cable/data/telecommunications industry
Be a champion for quality processes, have Lean process improvement experience, and have the ability to follow prescribed manufacturing process
Be capable of working within a team environment
Have full Australian working rights
