The Role
Are you an experienced governance, reporting or program support professional looking to progress your career at the APS 6 level? This role offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in governance frameworks, executive reporting and performance monitoring within a complex and high-priority ICT environment.
We are seeking APS 6 Governance and Reporting Officers to join the Defence Secret Environment Delivery Branch. You will provide specialist governance support across major ICT initiatives, ensuring compliance with legislative, policy, and assurance requirements.
The role operates within an integrated APS and ADF workforce and requires sound judgement, strong analytical capability and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders. You will play a key role in enabling informed decision-making through high-quality reporting and effective governance practices.
About our Team
Defence Secret Environment Delivery (DSED) sits within the Military Systems Division of the Defence Digital Group. The division is responsible for delivering a significant uplift to Defence’s Secret ICT environments to support operational readiness.
DSED is a fast-paced, strategic delivery environment that values strong governance, transparency and accountability. Our team brings together APS and ADF personnel with diverse skill sets, working collaboratively to achieve shared outcomes.

Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking motivated professionals who are analytical, detail-focused and solutions oriented. You will have experience operating in governance, assurance, reporting, or program management environments and be comfortable working with ambiguity and competing priorities.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build trusted relationships. You will exercise sound judgement, apply policy and legislative knowledge, and provide clear, concise advice to senior stakeholders. A collaborative mindset, commitment to quality outcomes and the ability to support and guide others are essential to success in this role.
You will:

Eligibility
Security Clearance:
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Negative Vetting Level 1”.
