Job Overview
Clinical Nurses in Quality and Risk/Infection Control play a pivotal role in supporting the hospital's strategic direction, daily operational processes, and accreditation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement, monitor, and evaluate Quality and Infection Control procedures, practices, and standards to ensure seamless integration with hospital objectives.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to collect data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and infection control clinical indicators, driving informed decision-making and process improvements.
* Demonstrate expertise in National Quality Safety Healthcare Standards and ACHS Accreditation System, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Conduct regular clinical audits, monitoring, and surveillance to identify areas for improvement and optimize patient care.
* Design and deliver education and training programs to enhance staff knowledge on relevant topics, promoting a culture of excellence.
Required Qualifications:
* Current Registration with AHPRA.
* Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience and/or qualifications in Infection Control and/or Quality Management.
* Proven track record in the Acute setting.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Commitment to delivering high-quality clinical and customer-focused care.
* High degree of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and various databases.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Proven time management and prioritisation skills.
* Immunisation certificate (or working towards).
