Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team of professionals in providing excellent patient care on a casual basis working various shifts across a 7-day roster.
* Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
* Assist the surgical team by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
* Monitor and manage the sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infection.
* Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal care during surgeries.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient information.
* Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
* A minimum of 12 months experience as a RN Scrub Scout
* Scrub scout experience in multiple specialties or a willingness to learn
* Current Registration with AHPRA
* Commitment to Quality Patient care
* Confident to liaise and support VMO's
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations
