**About the Role**
The Maintenance Officer provides (under supervision), quality property support and maintenance services to all clients and to the site as a whole.
The role reports directly to the Area Manager and would suit someone who would like a permanent full-time role working in a supportive team environment.
**Duties may include**:
- Managing/coordinating minor property works or equipment upgrades on the site, in consultation with the Property Area Manager and Residential Manager.
- Liaising with contractors, tradespersons, suppliers, and volunteers as required, and ensuring that all contractors are inducted into the BaptistCare contractor safety program, and clearly identifiable in the facility
- Ensuring maintenance is undertaken in accordance with the work orders issued through the 'maintenance connection' management system (MC), including both reactive and preventative tasks
- Conduct basic fixing/repairing that are required inside and outside the property
- Assist with physical inspections of property and premises
- Assist with coverage on the other two BaptistCare sites in Canberra ACT when site's maintenance staff is on leave.
**About You**
- Minimum of 12 month trade experience (trade qualification is desirable)
- Have previously done similar role in building maintenance/property management
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set time frames.
- Understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and accreditation requirements
- Hold a valid Driver's License and reliable motor vehicle
