About Dillwynia Correctional Centre
Dillwynia Correctional Centre is the largest female correctional facility in New South Wales, located on the Francis Greenway Correctional site in Berkshire Park near Windsor. It operates with a trauma‐informed, person‐centred, and gender‐responsive approach.
Role Overview
The position is located within the Intensive Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program (IDATP). Working under a Senior Psychologist and in a multidisciplinary team, you will provide group and individual interventions to address offending behaviour and improve the mental wellbeing of female offenders.
What You Will Do
* Conduct psychological assessments and deliver individual clinical interventions.
* Facilitate group‐based rehabilitation and treatment programs.
* Provide clinical psychology expertise and consultation to staff on mental health, trauma, and risk, including sexual and violent offender assessment.
* Collaborate with stakeholders on behaviour support strategies and case planning.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in OIMS and psychology files.
* Prepare reports and provide input to statutory bodies such as the Parole Authority and Mental Health Review Tribunal.
* Participate in ongoing training, clinical supervision, and professional networking to support best practice in clinical psychology.
What We're Looking For
* A dedicated and ethical psychologist passionate about delivering high‐quality mental health and behavioural services.
* Experience in mental health, cognitive impairment, risk assessment, group interventions, and behaviour management in complex environments.
* Understanding of contemporary correctional principles and evidence‐based intervention strategies.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum four‐year accredited qualification in psychology with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
* Demonstrated interest in trauma‐informed practice, cognitive impairment, forensic risk, substance abuse issues and behaviour change.
* Strong ethical values with a clear commitment to evidence‐based practice.
* Well‐developed communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* A sound understanding of technology and the ability to use it efficiently in daily work practices.

To be considered for the Specialist Psychologist role, candidates must also meet the additional capabilities and experience set out in the Crown Employees Psychologists Award.
