Responsibilities
- Support all contract activity including the drafting and negotiation of complex terms and conditions and associated agreements with customers, along with negotiation of contract changes and management of claims.
- Interface with customers on contract matters; support all Contract and Bid Status Reviews.
- Responsible for all commercial aspects of business winning.
- Lead, support and develop junior members of the team.
- Draft moderately complex contracts/agreements with minimal supervision.
- Deliver contract budgets and ensure commercial interface with Procurement/Supply Chain; flow down of contract requirements.
- Prepare and deliver Commercial Management Plans and negotiation strategies; lead negotiating teams where appropriate.
About You / Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a Commercial role.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to apply and tailor commercial and business processes under appropriate delegation of authority.
- Experience in leading or supporting moderately complex negotiations.
- Understanding of estimating discipline and how estimating input impacts contracts.
- Problem-solving ability for non-routine issues; ability to work independently with initiative.
- Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with SharePoint and Oracle is desirable.
- Ability to hold and maintain Defence Security Clearance; ITAR applicability may affect suitability.
