As part of our team, you’ll help deliver challenging projects, supported by leadership within an inclusive people-first culture.Who we’re looking for:With a strong pipeline of projects secured and upcoming, BMD Constructions has an opportunity for a Senior Human Resources Advisor to join our team supporting our infrastructure projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria.This role will be responsible for providing HR support to our regional projects. Drawing on your excellent communication skills, you will build positive working relationships across all levels, with tasks including:Experience in a generalist operational People function within an engineering or construction environment, overseeing at least 300 employees (salaries and wages).Demonstrated experience in initiating and driving People initiatives and supporting projects through periods of change.Thorough understanding of and ability to influence compliance with employment and OHS legislation.Strong relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to influence key stakeholders.Ability to interpret employment contracts, awards, and enterprise agreements, with knowledge of relevant legislation.Ability to understand stakeholder needs and provide effective solutions.The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:A tertiary degree in Business, Human Resources (preferred), or a related discipline.Prior experience in civil/construction industry highly desired.Great attention to detail and highly organized.A strong commitment to exceptional client service and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Experience working in a fast-paced administrative role (highly desirable).BenefitsWe believe our people do their best work when they feel supported — personally and professionally.
