Olympia Projects is a locally owned and operated provider of disability support services. We deliver centre-based group activities, in-home support, community participation assistance, and other services to people living with disabilities. Based in Greater Bendigo, we proudly support individuals across the region and nearby communities.
We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and flexible casual Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. This role offers casual hours with work available in Bendigo and surrounding areas, providing you with the opportunity to support clients in a variety of settings – including their homes, community environments, and centre-based programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support clients with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
* Offer companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being
* Assist clients with mobility, transportation, and community access
* Administer medication and monitor client health according to care plans
* Help with meal preparation, household chores, and ensuring a safe living environment
* Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised care plans
* Collaborate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and other support team members
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
What We’re Looking For:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related area (preferred)
* Experience working with people with disabilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Compassionate, patient, and adaptable nature
* Confidence in managing challenging behaviours and complex needs
* Understanding of disability rights, the NDIS, and advocacy principles
* A valid driver's licence and reliable transport (desirable)
* Current First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check
