Responsibilities
Based at Clarence Correctional Centre near Grafton, you'll play an important role in supporting rehabilitation outcomes and reducing reoffending through evidence-based programs. Working within the Rehabilitation and Reintegration team, you'll engage directly with inmates to deliver structured therapeutic programs, assess participation suitability, and support positive behavioural change. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive and safety‐focused environment where your work genuinely matters. Every day, you'll help create safer communities and better futures.
* Delivering therapeutic rehabilitation programs to inmates
* Engaging participants and assessing program suitability
* Maintaining accurate case notes, reports and program records
* Liaising with multidisciplinary teams to support participant outcomes
* Monitoring participant progress and encouraging attendance
* Supporting trauma‐informed and culturally sensitive program delivery
Qualifications
* Experience working within rehabilitation, community services, justice or welfare environments
* Strong communication and relationship‐building skills
* Confidence facilitating group‐based programs or activities
* The ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
* Strong organisational skills and experience maintaining accurate documentation
* A qualification in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, Community Services or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
