The Opportunity
We're looking for a switched-on IT Helpdesk Technician to join a well-resourced and supportive ICT team at a busy educational institution in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. This is a full-time role and we need someone who can hit the ground running — ideally available to start ASAP.
You'll be the first point of contact for staff and students handling everything from day-to-day troubleshooting to more complex technical issues. It's a fast-paced environment, but you'll have two experienced colleagues by your side and a team of five in total to support you.
What You'll Be Doing
* Providing Level 1–2 helpdesk support to staff and students (both in person and via ticketing system)
* Troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and access/permissions issues
* Managing and prioritising support tickets through a Service Desk platform
* Assisting with device setup, software installs and digital platform onboarding
* Supporting two campuses (rotation-based visits to the secondary site)
* Occasionally assisting with ICT projects and ad hoc duties as needed
About You
You're a people person who genuinely enjoys solving problems. You're comfortable in a busy environment, you don't rattle easily, and you know how to make someone feel at ease when things aren't working.
Skills you need to have
* Solid experience in an IT support or troubleshooting role
* Strong customer service skills — this role is very people-facing
* Experience with macOS and/or Windows environments
* Familiarity with Google Workspace / M365
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* A current Working With Children Check (or willingness to apply immediately)
* Experience in a school or K–12 education environment
* Knowledge of learning management systems (Canvas, TASS, etc.)
What's on Offer
* Supportive, collaborative team environment
* Annual salary progression under an enterprise agreement
* Parking available on-site
