Position Description:
Supervise project delivery for surface and underground capital projects for a Tier 1 Metals Mining Operation located in Queensland. With underground mine expansion underway, various projects require delivery inclusive, installation of underground substations and associated electrical infrastructure, as well as a new surface-underground fresh air raise with vent fans.
Contract Duration & Roster:
Contractor position with extensive ongoing works with an initial 12 months+, more likely a 2 year capital delivery program. Fly in fly out direct to the mine on a 8 days on 6 days off roster, meals and accommodation provided by the client.
Responsibilities:
You will ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of detailed job plans, and work by leading your team, monitoring performance, and promoting adherence to all safety, environmental, and operational standards.
You will utilize software tools such as SAP and Microsoft Office to manage work orders to track progress. You will actively participate in planning meetings, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and provide technical guidance to support reliable operations. Your leadership will help drive project success, continuous improvement and a strong culture of safety and accountability.
Qualifications / Experience:
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
* Minimum Five (5) years of experience in the mining electrical environment required
* Five (5) years of experience working in supervisory or lead role preferred.
* Prior experience supervising underground projects
* 4 year accredited apprenticeship in the electrical, instrumentation, and process control trades or equivalent
* Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required.
* Experience with medium/ high voltage power systems
* Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
* Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods, and procedures needed to complete projects.
