About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for contributing to the creation of exceptional dishes that delight our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead your own section of the kitchen, ensuring seamless service and providing support to other sections as needed.
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus that showcase local produce and stay true to our culinary vision.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior chefs, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
* Assist with administrative tasks such as rostering, stock management, and reporting.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a reputable establishment, with strong leadership abilities.
* Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
* Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) - essential.
* Passionate about food and cooking, with a modern approach to menu planning and design.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a positive attitude and energy.
* Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
