Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

The Organisation:
MP Recruitment is working exclusively with a renowned Not for Profit organisation committed to supporting individuals to lead fulfilling lives. The team provides evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) services, focusing on enhancing quality of life and reducing restrictive practices.
The Role
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will:
* Work closely with individuals, families, and support networks to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
* Conduct functional behaviour assessments and deliver person-centred interventions.
* Provide training and support to caregivers and support staff to promote positive behaviour change.
* Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission guidelines.
* Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Relevant qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
* Experience in Positive Behaviour Support and functional behaviour assessment.
* Registration (or eligibility) with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
* Working with children check.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to person-centred and strengths-based approaches.
* A current driver's license and willingness to travel within Melbourne's western suburbs.
