Opportunity

This newly created role will be fundamental in delivering on an ambitious transformation and operational optimisation agenda.

Accountable for enhancing planning, uplift, and delivery capability across a national service network, the successful candidate will lead operational planning, improve enterprise rhythm, and drive the execution of key initiatives that shape service excellence.

You will influence strategic direction, reduce operational bottlenecks, and strengthen alignment between strategy, planning and frontline delivery, while coaching and developing future leaders to build long‐term capability and succession depth.

Essential Capabilities
* Strategic Planning & Execution: Ability to develop and align strategic and operational plans with organisational goals, including establishing clear priorities, delivery roadmaps and performance measures for complex, distributed operations.
* Operational Optimisation: Proven experience enhancing service delivery, efficiency and workforce planning across multi‐site or frontline environments, ensuring operational activities contribute to customer and service KPIs while delivering measurable benefits.
* Leadership & Capability Uplift: Demonstrated ability to provide leadership stretch, coach and develop future leaders, and embed new ways of working that strengthen delivery maturity, accountability and engagement across teams.
* Stakeholder Influence: Strong track record influencing and collaborating with senior leaders and cross‐functional teams to align strategy, gain support for multi‐year initiatives, and drive cohesive execution in a matrixed setting.
* Delivery & Change: Experience leading or supporting complex programs of work, including prioritisation, governance, change management and risk mitigation, with a focus on ensuring adoption and realisation of benefits.
* Customer & Community Focus: Deep commitment to customer‐centric and community‐focused outcomes, with the ability to link enterprise strategy and operational decisions to real‐world impact on service users and frontline staff.
Desired Capabilities
* Experience gained within healthcare, NFP, human services, clinical, or large multi‐site service or retail networks.
* Exposure to operations planning, workforce planning or optimisation across dispersed teams.
* Experience uplifting leadership capability through structured programs or multi‐year initiatives.
* Familiarity with agile ways of working, human‐centred design or continuous improvement methodologies in complex environments.
