Job Title

We are seeking a Relief Cook / Community Manager to support our communities during periods of annual and personal leave, or when additional site assistance is needed.


About the Role

This role combines commercial cooking experience with leadership skills in hospitality or residential services. The successful candidate will play a vital part in delivering exceptional resident service by managing community operations or stepping into the kitchen to prepare high-quality meals.


Main Responsibilities

* Manage daily community operations including resident requests, staff supervision, site presentation, and compliance
* Maintain occupancy levels through proactive engagement and resident satisfaction
* Supervise contractors, conduct site inspections, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards
* Foster a warm, supportive community culture


Cooking Support

* Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary standards and food safety regulations
* Ensure high hygiene standards, maintain kitchen compliance (HACCP knowledge beneficial)
* Manage food stock, reduce waste, and act as Food Safety Supervisor when required
* Sustain a positive resident experience by serving timely, well-presented meals


Requirements

* Food Safety Accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
* First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* National Police Check
* Valid Driver's Licence
