**Job Summary**
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Research and Development team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of innovative robotics solutions.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for utilizing SolidWorks to create detailed designs from concept through to manufacture. You will perform calculations to validate designs and produce design reports, interface with suppliers to ensure seamless integration of components, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly with a background in manufacturing / OEM, is required. Proven experience in using SolidWorks for mechanical design and modelling, as well as familiarity with PDM systems and best practices for data management, is also necessary.
Additionally, the successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of AS and ISO standards relevant to mechanical design, drawings, and safety, as well as practical hands-on skills and out-of-the-box thinking, are essential.
