My client is looking for an experienced Collections Officer to join a fast-moving non-bank lending environment where you'll have real ownership, autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact.
In this role, you'll manage your own mortgage arrears portfolio end to end, working closely with customers to find practical, compliant solutions while balancing commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Managing mortgage arrears and enforcement activities across your own portfolio from start to finish.
* Speaking directly with customers to understand their circumstances and work towards sustainable outcomes.
* Monitoring portfolio performance and keeping clear, accurate case notes.
* Following up unresponsive customers through investigations and tracing.
* Ensuring all activity aligns with NCCP requirements and ASIC/ACCC Debt Collection Guidelines.
* Identifying risks and improvement opportunities in a dynamic, evolving environment.
* Supporting broader operational tasks and jumping in where needed.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years' experience in mortgage collections and enforcement, ideally within a non-bank or specialist lending environment.
* Strong understanding of Australian credit and collections regulations.
* Confident communicator who can handle difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism.
* Comfortable working autonomously, managing competing priorities, and adapting to change.
* A practical, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine team player.
