About the role
This is a fixed term opportunity until January 2027, located at Stanwell Power Station.
This role provides technical support and input to the operation and maintenance of Stanwell Power Plant including the management of plant assets and undertaking continuous improvements. Electrical Technicians are required to perform routine and breakdown maintenance and will be required to coordinate work party activities.
Key activities include:
- Investigating and identifying faults in response to plant alarms / breakdowns.
- Initiate and implement improvements to plant performance, maintenance work, coaching and mentoring to others.
- Developing a plan to correct plant faults and sourcing all required resources to correct faults.
- Performing work allocated within the weekly schedule
About you
- Electrical Trade Certificate and a current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licence (or equivalent)
- Cert III in Instrumentation
- Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in the maintenance of a modern thermal power station or heavy industry
- Ability to learn and apply the SPS Safe System of Work
- Competent use of the relevant electrical safety systems and processes
- Ability to learn and operate a range of mobile equipment and essential tools at SPS./Ability to learn and use SPS Computer systems
- Plant performance and efficiency monitoring
- Design and project management skills
