The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) lead the sustainable development of Western Australia's regions and agriculture, aquaculture, food and fisheries sectors. About the opportunity

There is currently one (1) permanent, full time position available for immediate filling.

As the Manager Asset Planning and Performance, you will lead the development and implementation of department's asset management framework and provide strategic advice to the Director Asset Management. You will oversee the development and implementation of asset management strategies, plans, systems, and capital and maintenance programs, while ensuring strong governance, risk management, and financial oversight. You will also build key stakeholder relationships, contribute to organisational strategic planning, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

* Extensive senior‐level experience in strategic asset management within large and complex organisations.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with the ability to provide high‐level strategic advice and drive continuous improvement.
* Proven experience in planning and/or delivering asset operations, maintenance programs, and capital works.
* Demonstrated success in implementing asset management improvement programs and embedding consistent, robust governance processes.
* Well‐developed capability in identifying and managing asset‐related risks, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards.
* Experience managing enterprise asset management systems and ensuring the quality and effective use of asset data.

Employment Conditions and Additional Information

DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.

To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term or a casual appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period as part of your application.

You will be required to provide a current National Police Certificate (police clearance) before commencing employment. If not currently held, this must be acquired prior to appointment at applicant's expense.
