Job Description As a Catering Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality food and dining services for our residents.
You'll work across kitchen and dining areas, support meal preparation, and help maintain a warm, positive, and safe environment.
This role is based at The Manor in Batemans Bay.
Desired Skills and Experience What you'll do Support the delivery of quality catering services in kitchen and dining areas.
Assist the Chef with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, trimming etc.).
Set up and provide meal service to residents.
Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas in line with hygiene, HACCP and food safety requirements.
Follow scheduled task logs and complete allocated tasks on time.
Report all incidents or events to management promptly.
Adhere to infection control and safety procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvement across support services.
Maintain Goodwin's strong customer service culture and professional presentation.
What you'll bring Qualifications Certificate qualifications in Hospitality (highly desirable).
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
Experience working as a kitchen hand or catering assistant.
Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and service.
Experience with dining room duties.
Understanding of chemical use and application.
Familiarity with HACCP hygiene standards.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work with limited supervision.
Sound documentation and record-keeping skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Good physical fitness and stamina.
